School Science Fair

Seth Leave a Comment

I like my school because it is very laid back for the Science Fair and for the fair there is a lot of kids that have projects about weapons that we would usually get in trouble for if we just talked about them.

Most schools would throw a wild crying hissy fit about a project about guns or cannons and I think that kids should be allowed by their schools to have a project about weapons such as guns, cannons, bows, etc as long as it is not about killing humans.

In my opinion if you block a kid off from certain things they will think it is really bad and be scared of it or learn about it on their own and not get the proper instruction. I believe that schools and parents should allow kids to do projects about guns, bows, etc that is my opinion.

Specifically, one of the gun projects was the type of dent or a hole different guns would leave in different targets and the kid used a 38, BB gun, 22 and Airsoft gun. One of the bow projects was what type of arrowhead would do more damage to a deer. One of the cannon projects was mine and it was about what angle would launch a tennis ball the farthest or in simple terms distance over trajectory. Another bow project involved how angle affects distance. Another gun project was about how what you eat affects your aim with a bb gun.

Since I enjoy weapons it made the science really fun.

OoRah to my school for allowing us to discuss weapons.

Is the Word Guns Graphic Violence?

Seth 8 Comments

A couple of days ago at school we had an assignment to write a biopoem. A Biopoem is a poem that describes a person in 11 lines. There is a specific formula to use when writing a bio poem. After submitting my poem the writing teacher refused it and said to me, “Your poem is all about guns and is borderline graphic violence and you have to get your mind off it.”

In my biopoem I had mentioned guns, bullets or ammo several times. The teacher had said she wanted our biopoem to tell about us so that is what I gave her. My dad and I like guns and I want to be a competition shooter and a Marine Scout Sniper.

One of the questions asked what I appreciate.  I replied that I appreciate electricity, guns, ammo and friends.

Another question asked what I wonder about and I answered that I wonder how bullets do so much damage when they hit big things even though they are small.

In another question I had replied that I believe in nukes if you have to use them, conservatism and guns.

To one of the questions I had replied I want to make it in politics and I want to make it to the Marines Scout Sniper unit.

And in one of the final questions I had answered that I love sports, guns and video games.

Okay, maybe I am into guns more than most but she asked and I answered. I appreciate guns for lots of reasons. You can target shoot and hunt with them and you should still have one for self protection.  Some people don’t like guns but does that give them the right to force their belief on others?

While this teacher may not like guns did this give her the right to refuse my poem and tell me that mentioning guns to the extent I did is borderline graphic violence?

My father explained to me that schools are hypersensitive about guns, weapons and violence because of school shootings like Thurston and Columbine.  Though I understand this I do not like it because some people just don’t understand guns. If a teacher does not want something listed on a biopoem they should tell you in advance or not ask the question to begin with.

Please leave me a comment as to what you think about that situation. Feel free to state whatever your belief is.

Bull Crap

There were a group of people that wanted to help bring back guns from South Korea that were left there from the Korean War. Obama is trying to stop them from coming back. Obama is using the excuse that he is afraid of them getting in to the hands of gangsters, terrorists, and others with bad intentions and the supposed concern of more accidental shootings.

Why the heck would terrorist come to the U.S. to buy guns at the gun shop? Like, the terrorists are going to think, “Let’s get a whole bunch of guns at a gun shop where we’ll get caught!” And gangsters, why would they buy guns at a gun shop when they would have to show ID, when they can get them off the black market or steal them?

South Korea is willing to ship or sell the guns. There is like 100,000 Korean War era guns. These are American made guns.  Obama not allowing them to come back is royal bull crap as they are part of American history.

This is another reason why he needs to be out of office for crap like this and many more things that are even worse.
