The year was 2010 and 6th grade student Seth Weinheimer was talking with a school friend. The boys were talking about the stupid things that seemed to go on in government and politics.
The boys said, “We might be kids, but we see adults doing stupid things.’ ‘Kids have ideas too and if adults would listen to us, they might like some of them.” “We think that Kids can take their ideas to the news and work to make changes.” They thought, there should be a place for kids to talk about politics, money, and government. Soon thereafter with the help of Seth’s grandfather Terry, Kids Speak for America was born.
At Kids Speak for America kids can talk about what goes on in the USA. Kids can also talk about most anything from politics, a natural disaster, taxes, gun rights, money talk, national, state, and local government, or whatever is on their minds.
Now 21 years of age, Seth still encourages kids to post their ideas and let other kids and adults know what you think.
Seth says, “While I am a conservative, it does not matter if you are conservative, liberal, or don’t care about politics, regardless, you are welcome at Kids Speak for America.”
