Kids Speak for America had its start in 2010 when 6th grader Seth Weinheimer was talking with a school friend. The two boys were talking about all of the stupid things that seem to go on in government and with politics. They thought there should be a place for kid talk such as political talk, money talk, and government talk. The boys said, “We might be kids but we see adults doing stupid things. Kids have ideas too and if adults would listen to us they might like some of them.” “We think that Kids can take their ideas to the news and work to make changes.” Soon thereafter with the help of Seth’s grandfather Terry, Kids Speak for America was born.
At Kids Speak for America kids can talk about what goes on in the USA. Kids can also talk about most anything from politics, a natural disaster, taxes, gun rights, money talk, national, state and local government. or whatever is on their minds. If want to talk about sports, video games, music or our favorite movie or television program or lots of other things we can do that too.
Seth, now a junior in high school encourages kids to post their ideas and let other kids and adults know what you think. Seth says, “While I am a conservative, It does not matter if you are conservative, liberal, or don’t care about politics but let the readers know what you think by posting at Kids Speak for America.
